WEEKLY: Chinese HRC export prices dip further

Chinese export prices of hot-rolled coil (HRC) edged down further during the June 22-26 week due to persistently weak overseas demand and competition from low-priced offers from other countries.

On June 26, Mysteel assessed the export price of SS400 3mm commercial-grade HRC at North China's Tianjin port at $495/tonne FOB, lower by another $3/t on week after falling $4/t in the previous week. China's privately-owned steelmakers slashed their HRC offers by $5-8/t on week to around $493-495/t FOB during the past week, while mainstream state-owned mills
