Moreover, the market prices of cobalt sulfate continued to be stable at Yuan 86,000/t-87,000/t and 102,000-104,000/t respectively.Demand from the downstream Co3O4 sector for cobalt chloride continued to be sluggish. This weakness, compounded by a substitution effect from lower-priced cobalt sulfate, further constrained the market space for cobalt chloride, resulting in extremely limited trading volumes. Some producers reported that downstream end-user orders were insufficient, with producers mainly fulfilling long-term contracts with existing clients, while securing new orders proved increasingly difficult.Procurement demand from the battery downstream sector remained soft. End-user manufacturers largely adopted a hand-to-mouth purchasing strategy, with no concentrated restocking activities. Most market transactions were need-based orders, leading to a slow pace of deal-making.
