WEEKLY: Crimped output among steelmakers weakens China's coking coal prices

The 523 coking coal producers under Mysteel's nationwide survey lifted their output slightly over July 9-15 from the lowest level in years. Although domestic supply remained largely tight, Mysteel's benchmark price for Chinese coking coal recorded the third consecutive on-week decline during the survey period, driven by lower raw material demand from steel mills, Mysteel's latest survey found.
