NBS: China's coal output contracts further in June, Shanxi posts steepest fall

Raw coal output across China's major producing regions contracted further in June, as sweeping safety inspections following a fatal gas explosion in late May continued to disrupt production well into the second month, Mysteel Global has learned. Increases in other major coal hubs were insufficient to offset the losses, leaving national output of the fossil fuel at its lowest level in more than two years.
