WEEKLY: China's FeSi prices hover low, output dips

Chinese ferrosilicon (FeSi) prices hovered at low levels during the week of July 14-20, with the spot price of 75% FeSi under Mysteel's assessment sitting at Yuan 5,681/tonne ($839/t) including the 13% VAT on July 20, higher by Yuan 20/t on week but lower by Yuan 13/t from the recent high on July 15.

Prices in the derivative market also remained firm overall, with the most-traded FeSi contract on the Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange for delivery in September closing the daytime trading session on July 20 at Yuan 5,782/t, up by Yuan 22/t from the settlement price on July 13, according to the exchange
