Poland's JSW posts a 2% YoY drop in Q2 coking coal production

JSW Group Poland's largest producer of steelmaking coal reported coking coal output of 2.76 million tonnes in the second quarter this year, down 2.1% on year and 0.7% lower than the previous quarter, according to the company's latest operational report for Q2.

Coking coal represents 85.4% of the firm's overall coal production totalling 3.23 million tonnes during April-June, Mysteel Global calculated from official data. JSW also mined 0.47 million tonnes of thermal coal during the same period, a 2.2% rise from the last quarter but dropping by 9.6% on year, its report
