On the feedstock side, the ongoing release of low-cost resources, including recycled materials and electrolytic cobalt re-dissolution streams, exerted downward pressure on mainstream quotations. However, primary smelters faced persistently high raw material costs and demonstrated limited willingness to sell at a loss, resulting in a market deadlock. On the demand side, no visible improvement emerged. Ternary precursor producers reported insufficient order books, while leading players still held relatively ample inventories and maintained high integration rates, thus refraining from issuing procurement requests and only covering minimal just-in-time replenishment needs.
