WEEKLY: Chinese BF mills' production rebounds again

After falling for four straight weeks, production among Chinese blast furnace (BF) steelmakers increased again during the past week, with the increase contributed mainly by mills in North China, Mysteel's latest survey showed.

Mysteel's tracking showed that the average capacity utilization rate among the 247 BF steelmakers during July 31-August 6 rebounded by 0.9 percentage point on week to reach 89.4%, and their combined daily hot metal output rose by 1% from the prior week to 2.38 million tonnes. During the same survey
