Palm oil continued to strengthen in overnight trading, with the near-term weakness and far-term strength pattern persisting. Driven by firm BMD palm oil, palm oil saw notable increases in overnight trading. Domestic spot basis offers were generally stable, but basis levels in the East China region rose notably, with the East China basis quoted at 09 minus Yuan 30/ton. Trading activity was moderate. New purchase vessels were added in relatively large numbers last week, and the profit margins on September CNF offers against the futures curve were attractive. Attention should be paid to this week's quotations. On the far-month side, Indonesia's B50 policy and El Nio-related production cut expectations continue to provide underlying support for far-month prices. The near-weak, far-strong pattern is expected to persist in the short term, with focus on DSI developments and the progress of Indonesia's B50 policy implementation.
