After a two-week rise, hot metal production at Chinese blast furnace (BF) steelmakers retreated again in the past week amid their worsening profit margins, Mysteel's latest survey showed.
The average capacity utilization rate among the 247 BF steelmakers under Mysteel's tracking dipped 0.19 percentage point on week to sit at 89.25% during August 14-20, with their combined daily hot metal output inching down by 0.2% from the prior week to average 2.38 million tonnes/day.     Over the same period,
