DCE Soybean oil fell during Friday night trading. The weak fundamental reality continues to weigh on spot prices, limiting upside potential. On the supply side, as of now, the oil mill operating rate stands at 68.39%, with crushing volumes remaining at high levels. Coupled with the normal release of reserve soybeans, the supply side continues to maintain a loose pattern. On the demand side, although spot transaction volumes have picked up recently, this is mainly driven by traders taking delivery, while downstream end-users still show limited willingness to replenish inventories and remain cautiously wait-and-see. In addition, commercial soybean oil inventories continue to accumulate recently, highlighting the pressure to destock. Regarding basis, basis levels across different regions generally face slight pressure, with some regional divergence.
