China's ferrous scrap prices are expected to extend the upward trend seen in late August in September, supported by improving supply-demand fundamentals in the scrap market, Mysteel's latest market report on the commodity suggests.
By the end of last month, China's composite steel scrap index was assessed by Mysteel at Yuan 2,450/tonne ($364.6/t) including the 13% VAT, slightly higher by 0.4% from a month earlier, and the price nudged up further to Yuan 2,453/t as of September 2.     Domestic steel scrap prices gained some
