DAILY:Seaborne iron ore prices increase amid flash trading

Seaborne iron ore prices moved up on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, with the Mysteel SEADEX 61% Fines increased by 0.55% or 0.55/dmt to 100.70/dmt, while the 62% Low Alumina Fines index gained 0.38% or 0.40/dmt to 105.10/dmt. All indices are assessed on a CFR Qingdao basis.

Primary market liquidity was robust. One parcel of MACF with a laycan of October 1–10 was traded at a fixed price of $99.70/dmt on a 60.5% Fe basis, equivalent to a discount of $0.50–0.60/dmt against the October index. Its floating price moved lower compared with the previous deal. Market
