DAILY: China's met coke prices set to edge higher

China's metallurgical coke market held largely steady on September 8, with participants awaiting signals from major steel mills. The fifth round of price hikes is expected to proceed as scheduled, supported by solid fundamentals, though the outlook for further increases remains uncertain.

On Tuesday, Mysteel Coke Index (MCI) CDQ, which tracks China's national dry-quenched quasi-first-grade met coke prices, held steady at Yuan 2,215.6/tonne ($330.16/t).
