WEEKLY: Aust., Brazilian iron ore shipments rise further by 1.9% WoW

The total volume of iron ore dispatched to global destinations from the 20 ports and 17 mining companies in Australia and Brazil increased for the second straight week to reach 27.9 million tonnes during September 14-20, higher by 517,000 tonnes or 1.9% on week, Mysteel's survey showed.

The growth was attributed to the rising shipments from Australia, as iron ore shipped worldwide from the country's 11 ports went up for the second consecutive week, up by 1 million tonnes or 5.4% on week to notch a 3.5-month high of 20.2 million tonnes during the latest survey
