China's manganese ore prices edge up on cost support

China's manganese ore prices increased slightly after the National Day holiday ended on October 7, with the price of South Africa-origin 36.5% grade manganese ore at North China's Tianjin port assessed by Mysteel at Yuan 33.5/dmtu ($5/dmtu) including the 13% VAT on October 13, rising by a tiny Yuan 0.2/dmtu from September 30, the last working day before the long break.

The slight rise was mainly attributed to the higher offers of major overseas miners for shipments to China in November, Mysteel Global noted.
