The most-traded GFEX lithium carbonate contract recorded another winning day and closed the session in the positive, while the spot prices were basically stable. The futures price rebound was partly supported by sustained warrants destocking as well as the overselling in the previous few trading days.
On the spot market, the spot transactions were generally flat, and the recent price cut did not significantly boost the spot transactions. The downstream buyers were mostly on the sidelines. With the market focus still on year-end battery cell production scheduling, the lithium carbonate prices projected to keep rangebound in the near term.
