DAILY: China's rebar prices wobble, trading recedes to low ebb

After edging up for two working days straight, China's spot rebar prices faltered again on October 20, in tandem with a broad retreat across the ferrous chain in the futures market.

On Tuesday, Mysteel assessed the national price of HRB400E 20mm dia rebar at Yuan 3,320/tonne ($497/t), lower by Yuan 4/t on day and ending a two-day gaining streak. In the derivatives market, futures prices of key ferrous commodities declined across the board on Tuesday, with the most-traded rebar contract for next January delivery
