U.S. soybeans continued their weak pattern, with bearish factors on both the supply side and the exchange rate side continuing to dominate the futures market. The U.S. new-crop soybean harvest is entering its final stage, with the harvest progress reaching 79% in the week ending October 25, exceeding the five-year average of 77%. Seasonal selling pressure from the concentrated market arrival of new-crop supplies is in its strongest realization window. Meanwhile, after Brazilian President Lula's re-election, the real depreciated sharply by about 12%, significantly enhancing the export price competitiveness of Brazilian soybeans and crowding out the U.S. soybean share. The CBOT November contract once dipped to around 1,239 cents per bushel. U.S. soybean export sales data performed strongly, with weekly net sales hitting a nearly three-year single-week high, and China's purchasing pace has not been interrupted, providing temporaray support to the futures market.
