WEEKLY: China's coking coal market slows as buyers retreat to sidelines

China's coking coal market turned quieter during October 23-29, as cautious buying by coke plants and steel mills stymied online auctions and dragged spot coal prices lower, according to Mysteel's latest tracking.

Over the survey week, Mysteel recorded a total of 1.29 million tonnes of coking coal cargoes listed for online auctions, of which 1.02 million tonnes were sold successfully.
