MYSTEEL: China June hot metal output may edge up further

The average daily hot metal output among 247 Chinese blast-furnace (BF) steelmakers under Mysteel's survey may increase marginally to approximate 2.38 million tonnes/day in June, with the mills' scheduled resumption of their BF operations, Mysteel's latest estimate shows.

Mysteel's survey on the 247 mills finds that next month some 15 blast furnaces are to be brought back online from maintenance with their hot metal capacity totaling 58,600 t/d, while eight furnaces involving a total capacity of 35,900 t/d will be put under scheduled maintenance.
