China exported about 23 GW of solar modules in September, up 44% from August but below 24.4 GW a year earlier, according to Solarbe's trade assessment from China Customs data. January-September exports totalled 172.5 GW, down 8.2% year on year, while export value rose 7.8% to $19.64 billion. The rebound signals stronger overseas pull after a weak August, while the annual decline highlights tariff, inventory and policy barriers. For Chinese suppliers, the value gain despite lower volume suggests a better mix, but competition and regional trade measures remain key risks.
