Northern steel heading south in Dec seen hitting record

Steel mills in Northeast China plan to ship some 1.52 million tonnes of construction steel including rebar, wire rod and bar-in-coil to customers in the country’s warmer southern regions in December, according to Mysteel’s latest survey published on November 29. If realised, the total would be the largest since October 2016 when Mysteel first launched its seasonal survey.
