Another six Chinese companies get scrap import permits

Six Chinese scrap and waste processing companies, mainly located in East and South China, have secured limited quotas allowing them to import 2,780 tonnes of ferrous scrap in total this year, according to the latest list recently disclosed by the China Solid Waste and Chemicals Management, the state conduit regulating the import of waste materials under the Ministry of Ecology and Environment.

Among these six companies, three are from East China’s Zhejiang province – Taizhou Yize Metal Products Company, SuiChang Dexin Casting Steel Company and Zhejiang Tenglong Renewable Resources Utilization Company – and are permitted to import scrap through Ningbo Beilun Port and Shanghai Waigaoiqao Port, with the total quota being 780 tonnes.
