China’s Jianlong to build a 10 mln t/y iron ore project

Beijing Jianlong Heavy Industry Group Co (Jianlong Group), a leading privately-owned steel mill with steelworks in Northeast China, plans to build an iron ore project in the region’s Liaoning province in two stages, which will be able to produce 10 million tonnes/year of iron ore concentrates when commissioned, according to a sharing by the China Metallurgical News on August 6.

The mine - Sishanling project - is reportedly the largest proven single iron ore mine in record in Benxi of Liaoning, boasting a proven reserves of about 2.5 billion tonnes with the ferrous content at 31.19% on average, will be able to mine 30 million t/y of raw ore,
