MYSTEEL: Guinea uncertainties test China’s aluminum

China’s aluminum market will be under test both for prices and raw material supplies due to the political uncertainties in Guinea of late, according to the latest report from Mysteel’s research team on September 6.

One third of China’s primary aluminum output relies on bauxite from Guinea nowadays, and the uncertainties, if prevailing, will lead to serious shortage in the raw material supply and rises in the prices of bauxite and alumina, the research report stated, adding that aluminum price, in particular, may stand
