GACC: China's Jan-Apr iron ore imports fall 7.1% YoY

China's iron ore imports over January-April fell by 7.1% or 27.2 million tonnes on-year to 354.4 million tonnes, as against the 5.2% on-year decline recorded during this year's first three months, the latest statistics released by the country's General Administration of Customs (GACC) published on May 9 show.

In April alone, China imported around 86.1 million tonnes of iron ore, down substantially by 12.6% on year and by 1.4% lower compared with March, according to historical Customs data.
