On September 7, GGII pointed out that if the future lithium batteries still use all traditional copper foil (pure copper metal), it is estimated that 1.25 million tons of copper foil will be needed in 2025, and the demand may exceed 2 million tonnes by 2030.
If using composite copper foil whose largest market replacement space over 40 billion square meters expected to reduce copper consumption of about 2/3 compared with the traditional process.
With various enterprises to promote technology research and development, equipment transformation, production line debugging, trial production and trial verification, it is estimated that in the next two years, the composite copper foil can start commercial application in batches.
