Nippon Steel rolls over H-beam prices for Sept spot sales

Nippon Steel, Japan's largest integrated mill and a leading H-beam producer, has decided to roll over its H-beam prices for the fifth month for September domestic spot sales to give the market another month to transfer previous hikes by producers, though the company warned of possible price hikes for October sales to shift the further rise in costs, the company announced on Wednesday.

Nippon Steel Structural Shapes, Nippon Steel's subsidiary in Wakayama in western Japan, has also decided to keep its H-beam prices unchanged for September, though it claimed the recent rise in scrap prices and higher power and distribution fees.
