On July 12, PT Asdah Mineral Indonesia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT Industri Kimia Nusantara Jaya and Kamar Dagang dan Industri Indonesia (Kadin), aiming at carrying out feasibility research and cooperation in the application of hydrometallurgical technologies.
The plan is to construct two hydrometallurgical smelters in Batu Putih district and Tolala district. Currently, the feasibility study is underway, and it is expected to be completed in August 2023, and the project will then start construction in 2024.
PT Asdah Mineral Indonesia is a mining and mineral processing company based in Indonesia. In this collaboration, PT. AMI will be responsible for the construction of the hydrometallurgical smelter, while KADIN Kolaka Utara will provide management support, maintenance and supervision of the construction process until it enters the operational phase. The purpose of the agreement is to construct a hydrometallurgical smelter in North Colaka County.
