PTBA keeps 2026 output target near 50 Mt as Indonesia's coal cap loosens

Indonesia's state-owned coal producer PT Bukit Asam (PTBA) said on September 9 that it still expects to produce close to 50 million tonnes of coal this year, a target that would put the company ahead of the 47.19 million tonnes it mined in 2025, an early sign that Jakarta's campaign to cap national output is losing force.
