Recovery at Moranbah North mine lifts Anglo American met coal output in Q3

Anglo American plc, a London-headquartered global mining conglomerate, posted strong on-quarter and on-year growth in coking coal output over July-September, mainly reflecting the ramp-up of production at its Moranbah North underground mine, according to the company's Q3 production report.

During the quarter just ended, Anglo American's attributable output of saleable coking coal (referred to as steelmaking coal) totalled 2.88 million tonnes, up 41% on quarter and 53% from the same period last year.
