Poland's coal production increases 4% MoM in September

Poland's production of hard coal and lignite in September reached 6.27 million tonnes, up 4.1% from the one-year low of 6.02 million tonnes recorded in August, Mysteel Global calculated based on the latest data from the Central Statistical Office of Poland (CSOP). On a yearly basis, the September level was lower by 7.5%.

The overall on-month growth resulted from a recovery in output of both hard coal (including coking and thermal coal types) and lignite. Last month, Poland's hard coal production reached 3.42 million tonnes, up 6% on month. Lignite production also edged up by 1.9% on month to 2.85 million tonnes
