Taiwan's Feng Hsin lifts rebar, scrap prices

Feng Hsin Steel, Taiwan's largest rebar producer headquartered in Taichung in central Taiwan, has decided to raise its rebar list prices and procurement prices of local scrap for business discussions over November 27-December 1 in response to rising prices of steelmaking raw materials, a company official confirmed on Tuesday.

For transactions till this Friday, the mini-mill is offering its 13mm dia rebar at TWD 19,700/tonne ($626/t) EXW, higher by TWD 300/t from one week before, while its procurement price for local HMS 1&2 80:20 scrap reaches TWD 11,200/t, gaining TWD 200/t on week, according to the official. One major
