FLASH: China's 2023 excavator sales decline 25% YoY

In 2023, China's total sales of excavators to both domestic and overseas markets added up to 195,018 units, dropping by 25.4% on year, according to the latest data released by China Construction Machinery Association (CCMA) on January 10.
Specifically, the domestic excavator sales plunged by 40.8% on year to 89,980 units last year, while exports also moved lower by 4% on year to 105,038 units, CCMA data showed.   For December alone, excavator sales inside and outside China totalled 16,698 units, rising by 11.9% from November, but the volume was still 1% lower than that in December 2022, according
