Ansteel to lift silicon steel output by buying new reversing cold mill

Angang Steel Company Limited (Ansteel), the Shenzhen-listed arm of China's second-largest steelmaker Ansteel Iron & Steel Group, has recently purchased a reversing cold mill from Primetals Technologies, a London-based engineering and plant construction company, as per Primetals' official release.

The new 20-high HZ-mill from Primetals will produce high-strength silicon steel and will be used for Ansteel's steel plant in Anshan city, Northeast China's Liaoning province. This will enable Ansteel to benefit from the rapidly growing market of electric vehicles, the release notes. Indeed, Ansteel has been upgrading its silicon steel
