Baowu's HyCROF selected as 'green' demonstration project

China Baowu Steel Group, the world's largest steelmaker, has announced that its 'commercialization demonstration project' involving a 2,500-cu m hydrogen-enriched carbonic oxide recycling oxygenate furnace (HyCROF) has been selected by China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) as one of the country's 47 demonstration projects featuring advanced 'green' low-carbon technologies.

Receiving the NDRC's endorsement means that funding support will be strengthened for the 47 projects, chosen for their potential to help China achieve its carbon peak and neutrality goals, Mysteel Global noted.
