FLASH: Simandou iron ore extraction in Guinea to start in 2025

Simandou, one of the world's largest iron ore deposits located in Guinea, West Africa, is 30-40% ready for launch, and the first volumes of raw materials will be produced from the Simfer mine on schedule by the end of 2025, according to Samuel Gahigi, CEO of Rio Tinto Guinea.

Mr. Gahigi also indicated that the initial export of iron ore from the project is projected for 2026 due to delays in infrastructure construction.
