On the evening of June 30, Tibet Mineral Development Co.,Ltd. announced that the company's ten thousand tonne battery-grade lithium carbonate project for the green comprehensive development and utilization of Zabuye Salt Lake was officially started in June 2022, and trial production started on June 30, 2024.
This project adopts the "membrane separation+evaporation crystallization" process to efficiently recover lithium, potassium and other resources from Zhabuye Salt Lake. It can produce 9,600 tonnes of battery-grade lithium carbonate, 2,400 tonnes of industrial grade-lithium carbonate, 156,000 tonnes of by-product potassium chloride, and 200 tonnes of rubidium cesium mixed salt yearly.
