Malaysia starts AD probe into tinplate imports from 4 countries including China

Malaysia's Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) has launched an anti-dumping (AD) investigation into imports electrolytic tinplate originating from China, India, Japan and South Korea, according to a MITI release on August 15.
The probe followed a petition from a local representative of coated steel producers, Perusahaan Sadur Timah Malaysia (Perstima), alleging that the imports of products originating in these four countries were "sold at a price much lower than their domestic selling price in the alleged countries (dumped price)."   Perstima, which manufactures tinplate
