CNIA: China's nonferrous sector posts gains in '24, targets more reforms in '25

Production and business conditions for China's nonferrous metals sector remained largely stable throughout 2024, with major indicators registering gains from the previous year, Chen Xuesen, vice president of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association (CNIA), remarked at a press conference on Tuesday.

During last year, the total output of the ten major nonferrous metals across China hit a record high of 79.2 million tonnes, rising by 4.3% on year, as Mysteel Global reported. Investment in the nonferrous sector surged last year, with overall fixed asset investment rising by 24.7% on year, Chen said.
