Russia's steel production declines by 7% YoY in 2024

Russian ferrous metallurgy companies produced 70.7 million tonnes of steel in 2024, down 7% on year, according to the analytical company Corporation Chermet.
Analysts note that throughout last year, the industry did not show positive year-on-year results in any month.   For example, in December, production increased by 7% compared to November, but fell by 3% relative to figures of December 2023.
