China's Huaneng seeks 624-kt seaborne thermal coal for Mar delivery

China Huaneng Group, a major state-owned power producer, has issued a tender seeking 624,000 tonnes of seaborne thermal coal for delivery in March, according to a statement on its purchasing platform dated February 19.

The coal sought via the tender, primarily lower-calorific value (CV) coal ranging from 3,000 kcal/kg to 3,800 kcal/kg NAR, will be delivered to nine of Huaneng's subsidiaries along the east and south coasts of China, the company said. Of these, four cargoes are specifically required to be supplied from
