It is reported that the project was signed and implemented by Liaoning Xingkong Sodium Battery Co., Ltd., Dazhou Eastern Economic Development Zone Management Committee, and Liaoning Hongcheng Power Supply Co., Ltd. on February 20, 2024.
The project will be constructed in three stages with a total investment of Yuan 11.5 billion, mainly including the construction of sodium-ion batteries, PACK integration, energy storage power stations, 110 KV substations, distribution lines, and smart grid management systems. Among them, PACK Phase I plans to have a total of 8 production lines with an annual capacity of 10 GWh.
At present, two production lines have been built and are undergoing equipment positioning and debugging. It is expected to be put into trial operation in April this year and mass production in May. After the completion of the first and second phases of PACK, it will become the largest sodium-ion battery production base in China, with an annual production capacity of 20 GWh and an annual output value of nearly 20 Yuan billion.
