In April 2025, China's lithium manganese oxide (LMO) production totaled 8,840 tonnes, down 240 tonnes from the previous month, representing a 2.64% month-on-month decline.
The production drop was mainly attributed to continued weakness in upstream lithium carbonate prices, growing bearish market sentiment, and softening downstream demand, which together led to a contraction in supply.

Looking ahead to May, major producers are expected to maintain stable production levels, while small- and medium-sized enterprises will produce according to orders. Overall, LMO production is projected to remain steady.
