GACC: China's stainless scrap imports hit 15-month high in April

China's imports of stainless steel scrap surged to 12,113 tonnes in April, marking the highest monthly volume since February 2024, according to data released by the General Administration of Customs (GACC) on May 20.

The total imports represented a sharp 90% increase from March, and a 44.3% jump compared with the same month last year, the Customs data showed.
