South Korea's coal imports remain strong in Aug despite MoM drop

South Korea's imports of coal for all uses stood at 11.68 million tonnes in August, marking the second-highest monthly level following the 12.4 million tonnes imported in July, according to the latest data from the Korea Customs Service (KCS).

The bulk of the imports were bituminous coal (including coking and thermal coal grades) and accounted for 11.36 million tonnes or over 97% of the August total, Mysteel Global calculated.
