GACC: China's stainless scrap imports rise for third straight month

China's stainless steel scrap imports rose further during May to total 13,300 tonnes, the highest monthly volume since January 2024, according to data released by the General Administration of Customs (GACC) on June 20.

The volume marked the third consecutive on-month rise in a row, increasing by 9.6% from April and by a sharp 32.1% compared with May 2024, the GACC data showed.
