Brazil launches AD probe into HR stainless flats from China, India and Indonesia

The Brazilian Secretariat of Foreign Trade (SECEX) has initiated an anti-dumping (AD) investigation into hot-rolled (HR) stainless steel flat products imported from China, India and Indonesia, according to its official gazette released on Monday.

The investigation came in response to a petition lodged by Aperam Inox Amrica do Sul S.A. on October 31 2024, who claimed that these HR stainless steel exports from the alleged countries are being dumped in Brazil and have caused damage to the country's domestic steel industry.
