Russia to launch development of five molybdenum deposits by 2027

Over the next three years, Russia will begin industrial production of molybdenum at five promising deposits. According to the country's Ministry of Natural Resources, investments in geological exploration of this strategic metal in 2025 will exceed 4.5 billion rubles ($57.5 million), which is more than twice as much as in previous years.

Four deposits being prepared for development are Agaskyrskoye (Khakassia), Ak-Sugskoye (Tyva), Yuzhno-Shameyskoye (Sverdlovsk Region), and Tyrnyauzskoye (Kabardino-Balkaria). Plans also include the start of work at the Peschanka exploration deposit in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug.
